Meeting Program: "Mills Days Revisited"
The Upper Pemigewasset Historical Society invites you to join us for Mill Days Revisited — a community gathering dedicated to preserving the stories of Lincoln and Woodstock’s paper mill era. Former employees of the Franconia Paper Company and its predecessors are invited and encouraged to share memories, photos, and personal experiences from their time at the mill.

The paper mill stood at the heart of our towns’ economy and identity, operating under several names and owners, including J. E. Henry & Sons, the Parker-Young Company, Marcalus Manufacturing Co., Profile Paper Company, and the New England Pulp and Paper Company, before its permanent closure on June 11, 1980.

Mill Days Revisited marks the third program in this cherished series — following the original Mill Days held in 2002 and Mill Days II in 2003 — continuing our effort to honor the hardworking men and women who helped shape the history of our community through the life of the mill.

Recordings of Mill Days I and Mill Days II are available to watch anytime on our YouTube channel. We invite you to revisit these special programs and hear firsthand the voices and stories of those who helped shape our community’s mill history.
